Seahawks Hire Mike DeBord As Offensive Assistant

The Seattle Seahawks have announced the hiring of Mike DeBord to their coaching staff, but have not announced his official position, or the length of the deal. It has been speculated that it is a multi-year deal, and that he will either serve as the running backs coach or an "offensive assistant coach."

DeBord has spent been a coach in the collegiate ranks since 1987, including two stints as the offensive coordinator for the University of Michigan from 1997-1999, and 2006-2007. After the 1999 season he left to take the head coaching job at Central Mighigan, until he resigned after the 2003 season and returned to Michigan as an assistant.
