Rockets Blast Hornets 100-80, Winning 11th In a Row

The Houston Rockets have taken off, and are in another orbit right now. Behind Tracy McGrady (34 pts, 6 ast) and Yao Ming (28 pts, 14 reb), Houston cruised to another easy win 100-80, this time over Western Conference leading New Orleans Hornets (37-16). The Rockets led most of the game at New Orleans Arena by double digits, and McGrady was generally unstoppable from all over the court, slicing for easy layups and dunks, when he wasn't busy draining contested jumpers. Yao totally dominated the paint and outplayed New Orleans center Tyson Chandler (9 pts, 5 reb) at nearly every point in the game.

The Rockets improved to 35-20, and won their franchise record 10th straight road game. Currently seeded 7th in the West, the Rockets are the NBA's hottest team, having won 11 straight game overall. The top 9 seeds in the West are seperated by only 1-3 games each, so this should make for a very interesting couple of months of basketball leading up to the playoffs, especially in light of all the recent trades brokered the past 2 weeks.
