Zach Thomas Signs 1-Year $3 Million Deal To Join Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys have signed free agent lineback Zach Thomas to a 1-year $3 million contract, per a report from ESPN's John Clayton. Thomas recently visited the New England Patriots, New Orleans Saints, and Cowboys, and decided to sign with Dallas for what is presumed to be the best contract offer from the three teams.

Thomas played 12 years with the Miami Dolphins before being cut earlier this month as the part of the Dolphins rebuilding project. The 34 year old missed most of last season with a concussion and the resulting after-effects. He is one of only 3 players in NFL history to have amassed 10 seasons with at least 100 tackles, and has registered more tackles than any player currently in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
