The Big Sky Conference has officially suspended three officials for their actions in Sunday's Montana vs. Idaho State game. Eric Curry, Bob Scofield and Scott Harris will all be suspended for one game each.
A stir was caused when a Montana player attempted to call a timeout after securing a rebound, yet the officials did not grant the player a timeout, and the game moved to overtime tied at 58-58. Television replays clearly showed the timeout was called and recognized by the officials before the buzzer, yet no action was taken at the time by any official. The officials chose not to use the replay capabilites available to determine how much time would have been left had they called the timeout, and Montana went on to win 73-62 in overtime.
