Defensive/nose tackle Jason Ferguson with reunite Bill Parcells yet again, as the Miami Dolphins have agreed to a trade that will allow them to collect Ferguson in exchange for a 2009 6th round draft pick. The Cowboys and Dolphins will also swap 6th rounders this year as part of the arrangement.
Ferguson was drafted by Parcells care of the New York Jets in 1997, and joined the Cowboys in 2005, but was limited to one game last year due to a torn bicep which shelved him for the rest of the year. The emergence of Jay Ratliff and Tank Johnson at defensive tackle would limit any playing time for the aging Ferguson, so at least Dallas salvaged something for him before otherwise cutting him.
