49ers Go 5-11, Raise Ticket Prices 9.14%, Giving Fans A Great Deal

The San Francisco 49ers, coming off a 5-11 season in 2007, the 7th worst in the NFL, have announced that they are raising ticket prices in 2008 by an average of $7 across the board from $64/game to $71/game, or roughly 9.14%.

The 49ers raised ticket prices last year as well (after going 7-9 in 2006), yet still have an average ticket price that will rank them about 6th lowest in the league, "$13 below the 2007 league-wide average of $84." This correlates nicely with their record. We would hate to think how much they'll be raised when the team actually makes the playoffs.
