Dentmon Owns Hotshot Collison, As Washington Shocks UCLA 71-61

The schedule has not been kind to nationally ranked teams this week, as UCLA (ranked #4 in ESPN/USA Today coaches poll) was the latest to fall, 71-61 to Washington (unranked) at Bank of America Arena in Seattle, WA. Huskies guard Justin Dentmon came off the bench to score 20 and to completely shut down UCLA all-everything guard Darren Collison, who was limited to 3 points (on 1 of 8 shooting), 4 assists, and a career high 8 turnovers.

The Huskies (13-11) stifled the Bruins defensively, holding them to 34.4% shooting from the field, and dominated the glass, outrebounding UCLA 40-28. Fab freshman Kevin Love was held to 13 points (on 3 of 8 shooting) and 10 boards for the Bruins, who fell to 21-3 on the season, and who may be seeing a potential #1 seed in the NCAA tournament slipping away.
